•    Use eSword to search for the word ‘gospel’, using KJV+ as your Bible version. If you need help using eSword refer to the eSword website tutorials.

    •    Look at the passages that the search finds. What do they tell us about the gospel that Jesus taught? What was the subject of his preaching? What is the meaning of the word ‘gospel’?

    •    You will find the phrase ‘gospel of the kingdom’ occurs a number of times, describing Jesus’ preaching. What is this kingdom?

    •    Why is the ‘gospel of the kingdom’ important? Have a look at Jesus’ parable of the judgement starting in Matthew 25:31. What kind of people will be in this kingdom? Why is this good news?
